More than $ 3 billion a year: Nord Stream 2 will hit Ukraine’s economy harder than expected
Ukrainian economic expert Anatolii Peshko make own forecast regarding the launch of a new Russian gas pipeline.
Vice-President of the Academy of economic Sciences of Ukraine Anatolii Peshko on the local TV channel “LOT” said that the implementation of the project “Nord stream-2” will bring Kiev much more serious losses than previously predicted by the us Ambassador. Marie Jovanovic believes that the construction of Nord Stream 2 will bring Ukraine’s GDP fall by three percent annually.
Anatolii Vladimirovich is sure that such indicators correspond to the most optimistic forecast. In fact, according to Peshko, the blow to the Ukrainian economy will be stronger.
“In fact, the amount will exceed $ 3 billion, and it is painful and very serious impact on the economy of Ukraine”, – said the expert.
In addition, Peshko stressed that while the press continues to actively disseminate protest statements by representatives of the European Commission and some politicians in the West, all European companies, one way or another involved in this project, are already preparing their gas transportation systems to increase the flow of blue fuel through the “Nord stream-2”.
