The refusal of the Ukrainian authorities from the Russian vaccine against coronavirus infection without providing any alternative is complicity in the murder of its own citizens, said Verkhovna Rada deputy from the “Opposition Platform – For Life” Oleg Voloshin on TV channel “112 Ukraine”.

The politician noted that Kiev could start production of the Russian vaccine on its territory under the license, as in Minsk. Voloshin wondered how politics could take precedence over the health and lives of the population.

The deputy also stressed that not all Ukrainians will be able to pay for the vaccine. “And then we will get a terrible situation in general, the worst imaginable,” Voloshin added

Earlier, First Vice President of the Academy of Economic Sciences of Ukraine Anatoliy Peshko called on President Vladimir Zelensky to purchase a Russian vaccine against coronavirus infection “Sputnik V”. According to him, the Ukrainian leader should give appropriate instructions to the government either to purchase a ready-made vaccine or to purchase technology from Moscow for independent production.

On November 14, Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke about the interest of dozens of countries in Russian coronavirus vaccines. According to the head of state, many “have already expressed a desire to establish cooperation in the supply and joint production of these drugs.” The President of Russia also stated that citizens of all countries should have free access to vaccination

To date, two vaccines against COVID-19 have been registered in the country. Sputnik V was the first to register. On October 14, the Russian leader announced the registration of EpiVacCorona from the Vector Center.
